Free tickets to see The Cove

The producers of The Cove have offered Global Action Network free tickets to the Montreal premiere on Aug 5, 2009.

Winner of the Audience award at Sundance 2009 and the recipient of rave reviews from countless critics, The Cove is a documentary on a mission to save dolphins from exploitation. Featuring Ric O’Barry, who helped catch and train the dolphins that played Flipper in the 1960s TV series, but has now become the biggest opponent of the "dolphinarium" business, The Cove focuses on his work to free dolphins from fishermen in Taiji, Japan, who kill 23,000 annually. After playing to standing ovations at Sundance this documentary is likely to change what you think about humanity's relationship to the oceans. As O'Barry puts it, after you see "The Cove" you may never buy a ticket to a captive dolphin performance at an aquarium again.

The director of The Cove will be present at the screening for questions and answers afterwards.
